Shopping for an older model of iPhone?
While everyone else was scoping out crazy deals on the new iPhone 6 over Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we were checking out the best ways to shop for second-hand or older generation iPhones. Sure, we already knew that the 0$ down retailers are asking for iPhone 5c is one of the best deals on the smartphone market, but the even-older iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, and iPhone 5 have their perks, too. Even though Apple still sells the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in their stores, they might not be the cheapest option for these older designs. Carriers may match these phones with a 2-year contract for even cheaper, so be sure to stop by Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and any other local retailer to see what options they're offering. If you're looking to buy anything older than last year's iPhone 5s and 5c, check out second-hand and reconditioned models on eBay, craigslist, or the Apple Refurb store. Plus, did you know? The iPhone 5c has the same tech specs as iPhone 5, only it offers the new plastic casing and colors. If vibrant pops of pink and blue don't matter much to you, find an iPhone 5 model that should be much cheaper than last year's. Check out MacWorld's "Which iPhone is best?" for a complete comparison on last year's iPhone models through what could pop up next year (iPhone 7, anyone?).
